Assam’s Minister of Health, Shimanta, said on the 10th that a high-level investigation team, including UNICEF members, had gone to the incident to conduct a special investigation.
The president of Johart Hospital said that the dead infants were mainly from the neonatal special area, but denied that medical negligence was the cause of frequent infant deaths. At present, the hospital has set up a six-person committee to carry out special investigations.
