Qil has been approved by the Jockey Club as the main contractor for the construction of a new Cheltenham Racecourse stand, which is worth £45 million. The construction will begin immediately after the National Hunting Festival next week. The new grandstand has 6,500 seats, mainly to prepare for the 2016 horse racing festival. The Jockey Club’s investment will also include improvements to the facilities of the Royal Box.
The project manager of the project is Harris, and the architect is Gloucester. They regularly conduct field visits to the Cheltenham Racecourse to prepare for various construction upgrade projects. Ian Xiang, director of operations management at Chil Construction, said: “We are very pleased to be appointed as the main contractor for this famous program and we look forward to showing people the updated racecourse. This is a challenging project, but we will work hard to ensure the smooth progress of the entire project and look forward to providing our customers with fantastic horse racing facilities. & rdquo;
The head of the contract management project at Chiar added: “The designers and our local supply chain will work together to provide high quality facilities for the Cheltenham Racecourse. The Qier project team lives locally and we understand the importance of the racecourse and festivals to our local economy and society. ”
